Stepping Stone Pathways
An often overlooked detail in the landscape is accessing those less obvious points in the landscape. Places like an outdoor water tap, or a crawl space access can neatly be accented and accessed with a stepping stone path. Another great use of stepping stones in the landscape is a winding decorative path through a garden. Stepping stone paths create a feeling of distance, create access and bring a naturally decorative element to the garden. Stepping stones can either be surrounded by mulch, or the design could go much further by introducing groundcovers around each stone. Decorative gravel is another attractive way to finish off this type of pathway.
